This is a solution to dislodge and flush away silt, sediment, corrosion and any other deposits that are within the central heating circuit. This is often done before a boiler installation (in fact, most manufacturers will insist on it, to remain eligible for breakdown-related warranties), and general time estimates indicate that an hour per radiator is required.
